Halloween Goodies

Look at the Halloween goodies that I made! The card is for our nephew! The goodie bags are for Conners preschool class on Wednesday. They will be trick or treating in Jeremys classroom! So, he'll be the cool dad that day!!!
Happy Sunday!

My kids are so cute!

My kids are so cute aren't they?!!! I love them! We carved these pumpkins last weekend! They just couldn't wait. We had so much fun! Now we are anxiously awaiting Wednesday! Trick or Treat! They had thier pictures taken at Sears today and when I figure it out I'll share those. Addie is going to dress up as Dorothy, Conner is the black spiderman, and Sawyer is Cookie Monster! All thier choices, of course!
Happy Sunday!

Stinky

Last night I fell asleep so easy. As soon as my head hit the pillow! There has been a lack of real good sleep lately with all the coughing and hacking and crying that has been so common. So, you can imagine the surprise at what woke me last night. Not a baby or a husband! A skunk. Our windows were open because it's very cool out now and I seriously woke to the nasty stink of a skunk. By the pungent smells encasing our clothes, the house, and inside both cars you'd think he or she was hanging around our living room!! The windows are open again and hopefully everything will air out before tomorrow!

Happy Tuesday!

Feelin' better!

Ok, so I read my last blog! I must've really needed to vent! Pretty negative huh? I guess I shouldn't have gone in looking for perfection. But, he's my baby! He's perfect, so everyone treating him should be too!

On a happier note, he's feeling much better. He's still tired, but at least he's been smilin'!

Happy Wednesday!

Sick babies!

I haven't posted a blog in over a week! Friday, I left work early to take Addie to the doctor. She had strep throat. Then on Saturday, Sawyer started running a fever. On Sunday, he had a seizure. This isn't new. In fact, we were waiting for it. That night, he had a barking cough. The nurses at the hospital said he sounded like a baby seal. (no reason to hold back). So, if you didn't gather from the earlier sentence, we decided to take him to ER. I hate going to the hospital. I really hated taking my baby there. I am an RN and I feel like I constantly critique things. Not that I'm perfect. But, there are certain things we nurses learn in school that help your patients stay in uncomfortable environments a little easier and less how should I put it ......germ magnetizing. For instance:

1. Nurse in ER, although he was the best one we enountered takes needle cap off of saline flush with his ..... fingers???? No, his freakin' teeth. Yeah, his teeth! You know those things that exist amongst your mouth.....the germiest part of the human body.

2. Sawyer (17 months old) taken to his room that doesn't look like it's been mopped in a few decades. No, I'm not exaggerating a decade at the very least! And, literally placed in a cage. Seriously, bars on all five sides of him. (above him as well) He had to lay under the wonderful O2 tent. You know that flimsy plastic tent that they force the baby (or in my case me and the baby) to lay under as much as possible. There was a very cold fine mist of water falling on us for hours at a time. We got cold, but there was no blankets to cover up with until I robbed the empty bed next to us of all linen. I figured in the am of day 2 while ringing out the linens on the bed I.....yes, I said I should change them.

3. Nurse for day 2 am shift never evaluated him. Main complaint for bringing baby to ER : Difficulty breathing. Ok, #1 priority in maintaining life......oxygen. But, did nurse 2 ever evaulate his chest retractions, pulse ox, or possibly his ....LUNGS????? NO, Never one time did she enter our room until 12 noon. Her shift started at 7am. That was after a 15 minute wait from the call button request for ibuprofen.

4. I could go on and on, but I'll spare you.

Anyway, on a happier note Sawyer and Addie are both doing much better. And, Conner (knock on wood) hasn't gotten sick.

Happy, happy Tuesday!!!

Pumkin patch

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterdsay! The kids had so much fun. Jeremy and I were disappointed that the weather wasn't more "fall like". It was actually hot. There was a man selling homeade pumpkin ice cream though! It was pretty good.
On another note, Addie lost her 4th tooth today! If you zoom in on the picture above, the one she lost was on the top right. The tooth fairy has to come tonight and she HAS to leave 2 bucks! Inflation has hit big time!!!!!
Conner went to the birthday party of his little friend Cassidy this past Saturday! He's really growing. It's so fun to watch him socialize. He's jealous that the tooth fairy isn't coming to see him yet.
Sawyer has really been talking up a storm! This morning on the way to Grandmas I would say something and he would repeat it. He says Addie now! It's so cute. It sounds like ADDDDEEEE!
Happy Monday!

b-day goods!

Look at all the wonderful presents that I got for my b-day! The papertowel holder has a crow at the top! If you can't tell, I love primitive stuff!! The crow is in all my rooms. They seem to be very difficult to find, but my husband not only found the paper towel holder,
but he found the table runner as
well! He's Awesome!
My mom is awesome too! She got me the Serenity Parayer sign, the old fashion jack o lantern and the old oil lamp, and a host of other neat little gadgits! I love, love, love all of my goodies! The bottom pic is my mantle, and on it a glimpse of the old bottle crate that Jeremy also found. It's chalk full of primitive goodies!!
My in laws are also GREAT!! They sent money, gift cards, smelly good things, and other neat goodies!! These things support all my habits! Like scrapbook stuff, stamping stuff, clothes, and purses!
I am surrounded by wonderful people. My beautiful babies, my wonderful husband, and an unbelievably awsome assortment of family and friends!
Thank you everyone who took time out of thier day to remember me!!
Love you all!
Brooke

Summers End

So, summer is over. Today is the first day of Autumn (my favorite season)! Yet, it was as hot as any July day. It also happens to be my b-day! I'll post some pics of gifts later! The highlight of today was playing outside. The kids were all hot and sweaty when these pics were taken, but they're still adorable! The top one is the funniest because it was nearly impossible to get the 3 of them in one shot! Addie still does the fake smile thing and Sawyer is a ham, Conner looks pretty sweet here doesn't he? He's got you fooled!
Happy Sunday! (And Happy Birthday to me!!!)

Busy, Busy,

Hello everyone! We've been so very busy this weekend. We installed a new printer, put a bookshelf together, cleaned, helped a friend move, ironed clothes for the whole week! But, I found a few minutes to stamp. I'd show you more, but it won't let me add more than the 5 I added??? Hope everyone had a good weekend! Back to business tomorrow!

Happy Sunday!

2 new cards

My newest goal is to create cards with stamps that I've not used in a while.
Sometimes I think about selling or trading these sets, then after I get them out
and use them I realize how fun they are.

More to come!

yummy babies!!!

These are my yummy little babies! They're so cute, I just wanna eat them up!

Conner is 4 - Full of life and enthusiasm! Sawyer is 16 months - Full of amazement and wonder!(especially at the vacuum!) And Addie is 6 - Full of attitude and spunk!

In the beginning....

In the beginning I already had a blog set up, but I couldn't post anymore after the 1st post????

So maybe this blog will work...or maybe not. The other will just float out there in blogger-blogger land.
